The painting is in impressionist style and shows a Peruvian woman dressed in white, carrying a red umbrella. She is posing on the shore of a beach. It is not a sunny day, as you can see the mist in the background near the rocks, but it is a wonderful day. She looks seriously to her left side. With this work I wanted to express the loose brushstrokes in the Sorolla style, modifying the colors mixed with white in the dress to give it chromatic richness. It also shows the loose brushstrokes in the water. The brushstrokes are impastoed and the red of the umbrella focuses attention to the medium.

This work was selected for the Human Figure Exhibition 2023 at the Cultural Center of the School of Fine Arts of Peru.
