The nymph and the faun

Illustration created with markers on paper. This is the drawn version of the previous oil study. Lines are used consistently in various directions using the hatching technique. It depicts a faun encountering a nymph on a mountain. Next to the nymph, a fawn is seen resting, and behind her, the skull of a faun. Could the faun depicted here be the next victim? The work exudes a mythological atmosphere: an imaginary setting, a silent scene that says it all.
