This is the final oil-on-canvas version of the work “The Nymph and the Faun,” which I have been creating and exploring in various formats and techniques. It depicts a faun encountering a nymph on a mountain. Next to the nymph, a fawn is resting, and behind her lies the skull of a faun. Could the faun depicted be the next victim? The work exudes a mythological atmosphere: an imaginary setting, a silent scene that conveys a profound meaning. Could it be that I’m very interested in mythology? I can say that I am.
