The painting, in a realistic style, shows a naked Peruvian woman. She is seated cross-legged facing her right side. The light comes from the left side of the painting, which accentuates a contrast that could become a chiaroscuro. She has her arms crossed but one of her hands is used as a support for her chin. With this work I wanted to represent a chiaroscuro applied to this woman with a single tiny detail of bluish violet in the hair, giving a few brushstrokes with little impasto where it was necessary to highlight the lighting. This work conveys naturalism and realism with an appropriate use of chiaroscuro.
