For this oil painting on canvas, I focused on a well-known myth from the Amazon rainforest: the pink river dolphin. The painting depicts a man sitting on a rock that emerges from the riverbed, using it as a natural throne; beside him appears a pink dolphin offering him a fish as a gift. That man is a pink dolphin transformed into a humanoid who prowls the Amazonian villages, captures his victims, and drowns them in the river. In the background, you can see the lush Amazonian vegetation, as well as the river that flows around the natural throne in shades of blue and green.
